Dr. Steve Tiang, BDS (Otago)

As the principal dentist, Steve enjoys a wide variety of aspects of dentistry. His particular interests lie with high tech dentistry especially Cerec CADCAM crown, bridge, and implant restorations; high quality root canal therapy; and soft tissue laser therapy.

Steve plays in and sponsors a team in the Waikato Hockey Association's winter hockey league as well as sponsoring an up-and-coming NZ Diving competitor, Brigitta Cooper.

Dr. Omar Alsabiry, BDS Hons (Otago)

Omar obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours after a rewarding 5 years at the University of Otago. During his time at dental school, Omar was the President of the NZ Dental Students' Association, where he passionately focused on improving the learning experiences of the student body. He was awarded the Sir John Walsh Scholarship in 2013, which enabled him to pursue research in peri-implantitis (disease affecting dental implants). Upon his graduation, Omar was also awarded the Leask Memorial Medal in Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Roger Tiang, BDS (Otago)

Roger is a graduate of the University of Otago and has been in private practice for over 15 years. He has been a member of a number of local, national and international dental associations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the NZ Dentists' Orthodontic Society, the Internation Association for Orthodontics, and was one of the founding members of the NZ Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Mary Mickleson, Registered Dental Hygienist

After years as a school dental therapist, Mary settled into her role as a dental hygienist. Mary has served on the committee of the Waikato branch of the New Zealand Dental Hygienists' Association and actively aids her fellow hygienists to further their education. Mary's passions include farming, aviation and 

Yun Yu Liu, Registered Dental Hygienist / Dental Therapist (Otago)

Yun-Yu (YY) is a dual trained Dental Therapist & Dental Hygienist. She enjoys both dental therapy and dental hygiene work, thus she works for us part time as a dental hygienist and part time working for the Waikato District Health Board looking after children and adolescents. YY will work with you to motivate you to maintain a high standard of oral hygiene. She strives to help her patients achieve disease free mouths and beautiful smiles. She enjoys meeting new people, listening to music and travelling. YY's main goal is to ensure every patient walks out of the clinic with a positive experience.

Rochelle Holah, Practice Manager/Receptionist

Nikki Coulston, Senior DA / Sterilisation / Receptionist

After being with NorthCare Dental Centre for over 5 years, Nikki has taken on the roles of Sterilisation Nurse, Senior Dental Assistant, and part-time receptionist. Her primary focus is to oversee the sterilisation and cross-infection control protocols in the practice. Having a dedicated staff member for this role ensures consistency, safety, and a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice. Nikki also plays football and enjoys wakeboarding and mountain biking.
